Privacy Policy: How to clear cookies

We take privacy very seriously here at Found My Spot. First of all, we highly recommend you use VPN to hide your identity while surfing the internet and minimizing the chance of your identiy being stolen. One way of tracking you is of course through cookies. While we try and protect our users while surfin our website, some might not feel comfortable with being tracked with Cookies. But before we dive into how to delete coockies, please read this information on what cookies are. If you are still adament in deleting them, here below are some instructions on how to delete cookies from your webs browser

These instructions might not include everything and we apologize if that is the case. If you do not find the right instructions for you or if you see any flaws in them, please contact us or write a comment here below.

Chrome: Windows/Mac/Linux

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. Click the three dots In the top right corner.
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on “Advanced.”
  4. Click on the section “Clear browsing data.”
  5. Under the “All cookies and site data” section, you can customize which cookies to delete.

Chrome: Android device

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app.
  2. To the right of the address bar, tap on “More,” or the three dots, and select “Settings.”
  3. Tap on the “Privacy” category and then select “Clear browsing data.”
  4. Once you have made your selections, you can then check “Cookies and site data.” Uncheck all the other items.
  5. Tap “Clear data.”

Chrome: iOS device

  1. Launch the Chrome app.
  2. Tap on the three dots at the top right, scroll down and then select “Settings.”
  3. Under settings, tap “Privacy” then “Clear browsing data.”
  4. Select “Cookies, site data”, you can uncheck everything else if you so choose.
  5. Tap on “Clear browsing data.”
  6. Then select “Done.”

Firefox: Windows/Mac/Linux

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. In the upper right corner of the browser, click the menu bars, it looks like three parallel lines, and click “Privacy” tab.
  3. Here you can select “Clear your recent history.”
  4. Be sure that only “Cookies” is checked, and then select the time frame for which you would like to delete your cookies.
  5. Check your selections to make sure that other data you want to keep are not selected, and then hit “Clear now.”

Firefox: Android device

These instructions may vary on the type of phone and what version of Firefox you have. Look for the menu icon (three bars) located at the top right corner. On older Android devices you’ll have to press the hardware menu key and then tap “More.”

  1. Go to the “Settings” menu.
  2. On the settings menu, look for “Privacy & security” and select “Clear private data.”
  3. You will be taken to a list of where you can select “Cookies & active logins.”
  4. After you have made your selection, tap the “Clear data” button to deleting cookies.

Firefox: iOS device

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. Click on the “menu bars,” the three parallel lines in the lower right corner of the browser.
  3. Select “Settings.”
  4. Scroll down to “Privacy.”
  5. Select “Clear private data.”
  6. Make sure only “Cookies” is selected, then tap on “Clear private data.”

Safari: MacOS Sierra

  1. Open Safari.
  2. Select “Preferences” from the dropdown Safari menu.
  3. Click on “Privacy,” then on “Manage Website Data.”
  4. Click on “Remove all” from the dropdown menu.

Safari: iOS device

  1. Go into the Settings menu on your device.
  2. Scroll down to “Safari” -> “Advanced” -> “Website Data”
  3. Tap on “Clear history and website data” to clear cookies.

Internet Explorer: Windows 10, Windows 8.1 and Windows 7

  1. Launch Internet Explorer.
  2. Select “Tools” from the menu, select the “Safety” menu, and then select “Delete browsing history.”
  3. Make sure that the “Cookies and website data” checkbox is selected, and then click on “Delete.”

Microsoft Edge: Windows

  1. Launch Microsoft Edge and go to the “more” and select “Settings.”
  2. Scroll to “Clear browsing data,” and select “cookies and saved website data” and select clear.
